Argenta Advisors is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2)in 2020. M2D2 is an incubator and resource connector for Massachusetts’ smaller medical device companies. It offers inventors and executives easy, affordable, and coordinated access to world-class researchers and resources at the UMass Lowell and the UMass Medical School campuses of the University of Massachusetts.

“We are excited for this opportunity to support our local life science community and the innovators that are driving it into the future,” says Argenta President Louise Guy. “We want to recognize the exceptional efforts of the people who are sustaining the industry through innovation by participating in and sponsoring M2D2. We appreciate the contributions that M2D2 has made to the now-thriving ecosystem that exists around the Greater Boston area for life science and particularly medical device startups.”

Over the last several years, M2D2 has grown into one of the area’s most important innovation ecosystems. It has opened three shared laboratory facilities, including one on the UMass Medical School campus. M2D2 resident companies have been awarded nearly $10 million in grants while receiving over $80 million in angel financing and private venture capital. The work of M2D2 has led to the direct creation of jobs for over 100 people and over 50 student interns directly employed by M2D2 resident companies and created a strong a vibrant network for development.

Argenta brings to the M2D2 community decades of experience gathered from supporting the reimbursement and commercialization goals of hundreds of companies, ranging from startups to some of the largest medical device and life science companies. In addition, Argenta brings relationships with industry leaders and policymakers at payers across the country.
